In this blog you will learn about Migration and Up-gradation
POST AN OS UPGRADE :-
1. Post upgrade you will get all your files and programs.
2. You will not be prompted to enter the product key during upgrade of windows 7 or windows 8/8.1 to windows 10.
3. You will need to re-enable or re-install your antivirus and other application software.
4. Go to the setting app, Update and security and check for New windows and driver updates.
5. Check if drivers are working correctly by opening Windows Device Manager in case there
are some drivers are not working correctly update the drivers from vendors web site.
6. Windows 10 Home will automatic updates which you cannot opt. out of.
7. Windows 10 Pro will be able to choose how to receive new Window update.
8. Switch to Microsoft Account if you want to take advantage of installing Windows Store apps,
etc.
UBUNTU:
1. Ubuntu is an open source Linux distribution OS that is sponsored by Canonical Ltd.
2. The operating system can be used for Personal Computers (PCs) and on Servers.
REQUIREMENTS OF HARDWARE :- ( UBUNTU )
1. 2 GHz Dual-Core Processor
2. 2 GB RAM ( System memory )
3. 25 GB HARD DISK
4. VGA Cable of 1024x768 Screen Resolution.
MS-DOS :
1. MS-DOS is the first computer operating system made by Microsoft Corporation
2. It stands for Microsoft Disk operating system
3. It was popular in computer before Microsoft windows.
4. A DOS Laptops are outdated.
5. We have to upgrade the OS & install a usable like recent version for windows.
6. MS-DOS is a text based version OS
7. It means that user works with a keyboard to input data & receives output in plain text.
8. A-DOS Laptop comes with command prompt operating system, we will not find any GUI
interface.
9. If we want to upgrade it to windows OS, the process may be similar to installing a fresh windows
OS such as windows 8.1 or 10.
